Name: Nabil Al-Tikriti

Starting as a Development Management Intern in Africare´s mission in Zambia, 1988, and Fieldwork Evaluation Intern in Foster Parents PLAN International in Egypt and Sudan in 1989, Al-Tikriti has continued to take part in various development and assistance programs, and has worked as a relief worker at a number of field locations in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Since 1993 Nabil Al-Tikriti has been engaged in various field projects of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF - Doctors Without Borders). Through all his professional activities Al-Tikriti has demonstrated a remarkable dedication to humanitarian efforts - providing assistance to the people who need it the most in places of conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care. 

Al-Tikriti has worked at the MSF as a field administrator, logistician, context analyst, and Deputy Head of Mission in Somalia, Albania, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, and Syria. 

After being an active member of the MSF-USA Association, in 2011 Al-Tikriti became a member of the USA Board of Directors. Within this new position, Al-Tikriti has mediated field associated debates in Amman, Juba, and Kabul. Al-Tikriti has also been a liaison with the United Nations, nongovernmental organizations and local governments.
